i clipped a squirrel on the the way to work this morning and about had a breakdown. i almost turned around to go back and make sure he continued to make it across the road. i hope he was able to scamper off. 
poor Squirrel. ... even if he did make it to safety, he probably needs a leg brace or some sort of reconstructive surgery that they just don't offer in the forest. i feel so bad.
and i'm a lame-ass animal lover. don't make fun of me.

i'll be sure to give a status update later today when i drive home, if he's still on the road it obviously didn't turn out well and i might have to have a funeral.
but if he's not there, i'll just imagine he's off frolicking around and eating nuts, w/ no injuries.

<--- used to be a park ranger for 2 summers and we had to rescue all these hurt/sick animals would call in about... not really squirrels though lol

***MEDICAL UPDATE***
sadly, nutty the squirrel didn't make it. 
he was still on the road on my way home from work.
i feel pretty bad.
lol, i went out for a walk once i got home, and i apologized profusely to another random squirrel who ran across my path.
haha, i sound like a nutjob.
